You can watch CBC Gem free without creating an account and signing in.
If you just want to watch as a "guest", then touch the CBC icon in the upper left.
But if you want to establish an account (which is free), you touch "create an account" in the upper right.
It will ask you your email address, give yourself a password and put your name.
By creating an account, you are able to access more of the back catalogue of shows. For instance, if you want to enjoy a series as guest you can only watch this year's shows but if you sign in you can watch all the seasons (past seasons on demand).
You do have commercials unless you choose to subscribe to the service.

You can watch CTV without logging in. To log in you need to submit your cable TV provider and username and password from the cable account.
By not logging in you can watch current programming on CTV and access their movie library.

Tubi is a free streaming service with a back catalogue of movies and shows. In some regions you can browse without an account, but creating one gives you a better experience.
To create an account, touch "register".
Input your name, email address, add a password, input your birthday and gender, then "register".
Then "sign in" with the email and password.
Touch "browse" in the upper right corner to search for specific genres.
TV Comedies and drama have an extensive collection of old shows and recent British shows. Classics covers the golden age of Hollywood.

Kanopy is a free streaming service available if you hold a library card.
They offer a range of movies, documentaries, foreign films, classic cinema, independent films and educational videos.
The first time logging in, go to "get started".
Next step "find library", this will access a selection of local libraries, choose the closest and "select this library".
On the next page input your library card number.
It will then ask for your email address and to input a password.
You can then log in to access up to 10 different movies per month.
