How to use virtual doctor services

Telus Health MyCare (formerly Babylon by Telus Health) is a virtual doctor appointment service. You can see a doctor by video call from the comfort of your home.
For first-time users, download the MyCare app from the App Store (iPad/iPhone) or Google Play Store (Android), then touch "Sign up".
Enter your first name, last name, email address, and create a password. You will also need to provide your provincial health card number, date of birth, and address.
Once registered, choose "See a doctor" to describe your symptoms. The app will ask a few questions to help match you with the right doctor.
You can then book a video appointment at the next available time. Make a note of the date and time in your calendar, and be ready to accept the video call when it arrives.

A free service to residents of B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario with a personal health number.
Have your Care Card, AHCIP, OHIP or Health Card number and touch the button "See A Doctor Now". Then touch button "Yes, I do" on the page "Do you have your personal health number with you today?"
From the menu "Select a province", touch on your province, then "Continue".
From the menu "Select a service", touch on the reason for the virtual appointment such as "Prescription refill", "General health", "Ear / eye / throat / urinary infection" on the "What is the reason for your visit" page.
This takes you to the "Virtual Care Check-in" page, here you submit your name, address, email, phone number and health care number.
The next page asks for more details of your symptoms and any current medications.
On the following page tick the box for "Free delivery" or "Pharmacy pickup" if any prescriptions are required, then you select your local pharmacy. The next page is the confirmation of the details listed so far and a box to tick that you agree to the terms and conditions and privacy policy.
Once confirmed the next page will find a doctor, you will then get a message to turn on your microphone and camera and touch "enter the waiting room".

Not all walk-in clinics submit their wait times but it is helpful for those that do to enable you to time your visit to the local walk-in or choose one that is a few extra blocks away.
Scroll down the screen to the "find clinic" bar and type in your postal code.
It will look up all clinics within a certain range, you can shorten or widen the range by touching on "more filters", drag the white circle along the bar at the bottom to change the radius.
